I will not admit how long it took me to focus and finish this comic. I’ve been eating a LOT of cake.
Until next time,

The Nexus of the Universe drawing converted to fabric (thank you Vista Print) arrived yesterday and is now hanging in the store.
So if you ever are having doubts about sharing your art with others, then just enlarge it and stick it on a wall in a public place. You’ll get over yourself pretty quick.
And here’s this years Pamo Christmas card (first one I’ve made since 2015?):
When I drew the card, I wondered if I should put masks on the characters to commemorate 2020 but quickly threw out that idea. That’s not really my style (commenting on current events outside my own internal world).
I’ve written and deleted too much now. Just gonna hit the publish button and stop already.
Until next time,
Pamo
Jeff calls our new store location in South Clinton the “NEXUS” of the universe.
Recently he asked me to make a banner for inside the store. So I drew the above image on my iPad in the Procreate app and am having it transferred to fabric.
Once it’s arrived and hung up in the store I’ll post another picture.
It’s been fun and a little difficult getting back my drawing chops. I am enjoying the process. Drawing is a lot like exercising… once you get back into the habit- you realize how it makes you feel better.
Until next time,
Pamo
This is actually one I drew a few years ago- but it still makes me laugh.
Go forth and eat pumpkin pie!
I have a stuckedness problem. I do creative stuff, get stuck, then move on to something else. This “giving up” then creates a slog of anti-creative glue that just completely gums up creative thought.
So today- I’m posting some of my unfinished stuff in an attempt to blow out the clog and quit whatever it is that keeps me stuck. Meh- we’ll see.
Last year, I attempted to revamp Pamo’s World comic. I got this far:
I never finished coloring the second panel. I did write out the conclusion to this set up but felt deflated when I realized I had done something very similar in 2016 (that I never finished). Here that is:
I allowed myself to feel defeated when I realized I keep going through the same slog. Now I’m like… who cares?!!! That’s what the creative process is all about.
Then in January of this year, I did this comic:
I did another few comics after that which I haven’t finished. I’m going to give it a go at finishing those and posting them before 2020 ends. If I don’t finish them- I’ll post them anyway in an ongoing attempt to de-gum.
DE-GUM DE-GUM DE-GUM
One of our vendors stopped in at Biker Rags this week and shot this video:
It’s been July since my last post. I’ve succumbed, somewhat, to social media land- simply because it’s easier to update and I can do it right from the phone. Not that I’ve actually updated much there…. but it does seem to be the spot where I go to first. You can find me on Instagram HERE.
I did finish my last painting. (Much like updating the blog- it took awhile to get around to it.)
That’s the update from Pamo for now. If you do the Instagram thing, I hope to see you there.
Have a great week!
Until next time,
Pamo
Jeff asked me, after we’d spent a couple of hours rearranging my stuff once again, if I had any idea how many times we’d moved my stuff from area to area over the years. Well clearly it was a trick question, so I just said, “You love it.”
I now have my painting studio set up in my office, which doubled for many years as a sewing room. Now it doubles as a painting studio because I’ve lost interest in making textile art… for now anyway. (I thought about combining the two interests but that would necessitate another rearrangement- it’s a whole thing.)
Here’s the painting desk (which is a 50’s era sewing cabinet):
What I enjoy about my small studio space is that it has some of the art I’ve done over the years.
So that’s the very brief studio tour. I hope to get back to painting soon.
Recently I set up a makeshift paint studio in the garage.
And I made my first painting here. (Not exactly my first painting- but usually I just paint color blocks and splatters.)
Then today, Jeff and I worked on a few things for our Mega Mart booth.
I tackled a bookcase that I thought I would just need to paint…
But the bookcase turned into a bigger project than I thought….
In my hundredth trip to the garage, Mertie got on the couch and gave me this look….
I did finish sanding and priming, but my bookcase project will have to be completed another day.
In the meantime, Jeff is working on his plants.
And Hazel says….
So that’s the paint report from Pamo’s World!
Comments are open and we’d love to hear from you. (Except for Mertie and Hazel who are too tired.)
About ten years ago, (how time flies), I made a 4 foot x 4 foot canvas sign. I had some plan for it but never got around to painting it. Then when we expanded Pamo’s World at the Mega Peddlers Mart, the canvas was waiting for me to paint a Pamo’s World sign!
And here’s how it looks hanging in it’s new spot….
Jeff videoed me talking about Pamo’s World yesterday….
Until next time!
